Frequently asked questions
Why won't my feature graphic upload to the Play Console?
It must be exactly 1024 × 500 pixels, JPEG or 24-bit PNG with no transparency. A PNG with an alpha channel or different dimensions is rejected. Drop the image into the tool: it detects the issue and produces a compliant JPEG.
Can I use emojis in a Play Store listing?
Not in the title, icon or developer name: Google's metadata policy forbids it. In the full description they are tolerated in moderation.
How many times should I repeat the main keyword?
Once, naturally, in the title or short description, then two to five mentions in the full description. More than that looks like keyword stuffing, which Google penalises.
Are my texts sent anywhere?
No. Generation and checks happen in your browser, images included. Nothing is transmitted or stored.
