How do I check a Moroccan RIB before a bank transfer?
Paste the 24-digit RIB or the IBAN: the OUFRID checker verifies the key, spots a mistyped digit, shows the bank and how the number breaks down, then gives the IBAN ready to copy, without sending anything over the Internet.

Step by step
- Copy the RIB from the original document: banking app, RIB certificate or bank statement.
- Open the RIB checker and paste the 24 digits or the IBAN (MA…): spaces, dashes and dots are ignored.
- Read the result: valid key or not, bank, branch location code, account number and IBAN to copy.
- Before paying, check the account holder's name and, if the details reached you by email or WhatsApp, confirm them another way.
Good to know
Does a valid RIB prove the account exists?
No. The key only checks that the number is well formed. Only the bank can confirm that the account exists and who owns it: a scammer can give a perfectly valid RIB.
What does "invalid RIB key" mean?
The 24 digits are not a multiple of 97: at least one digit was mistyped, left out or swapped. Copy the RIB again from the original document rather than guessing the fix.
How do I convert a Moroccan RIB into an IBAN?
Put MA64 in front of the 24 digits of a correct RIB: the tool does it for you. To receive a transfer from abroad, also give your bank's SWIFT/BIC code.
