Analyse a page's code
Open your page, view its source code (Ctrl+U), copy everything and paste it here: the tool reads the tags and fills in the fields. Nothing is sent, no connection is made.

Previews faithful to each service's current layout, but not pixel-perfect: every platform changes its display regularly, and Google may rewrite the title and description.

How the tool measures
Google sets no official character limit: it cuts the title and description so they fit the screen width. The tool therefore measures the real text width in pixels, with a font close to Google's (Arial), and compares it with observed benchmarks: about 600 pixels for a title on desktop, about 920 pixels for a description on desktop and 680 pixels on mobile.
These benchmarks are observed averages, not rules: a slightly longer title may display in full, and Google sometimes rewrites the title or picks another excerpt of the page if it finds it more useful for the query.
For social networks, the ideal sharing image is 1200 × 630 pixels (1.91:1 ratio, under 8 MB according to Facebook). For X's large card, aim for a ratio close to 2:1, at least 300 × 157 pixels and under 5 MB.

Frequently asked questions
How many characters for a Google title?
There is no official limit. In practice, about 50 to 60 characters fit in the 600 pixels observed on desktop, but wide letters (M, W) take more room than narrow ones (i, l): hence the pixel measurement.
Why doesn't Google show my meta description?
Google builds the snippet from the page content first, and only uses the meta description if it finds it more faithful to the query. A unique, precise description that truly summarises the page is more likely to be used.
My Facebook or WhatsApp share shows an old image: what can I do?
Networks cache the preview. Change the image address (for example by adding ?v=2), then request a fresh scrape with Facebook's or LinkedIn's sharing debugger.
Are Arabic titles measured correctly?
Yes: the measurement uses the real width of the displayed text, and the preview switches to right-to-left. Joined Arabic letters often take less room than French for the same number of characters.
