The rules of an accepted ID photo
- Face forward, neutral expression, mouth closed, eyes open and visible.
- Plain, light background with no shadow; even lighting on the face.
- No sunglasses or headwear (except for religious or medical reasons, depending on the country).
- For a paper application, a photo printed by a photographer or a photo booth is often still required: check your administration's rules.
