⚖️ Legal notice, terms of sale and privacy policy

Create your website's legal notice, privacy policy, terms of sale and cookie policy for free, tailored to Morocco (laws 09-08 and 31-08), France (GDPR, LCEN), Belgium, Switzerland and Québec, in French, English or Arabic.

These are templates to adapt, not legal advice. Review each document, fill in the items in square brackets and have it checked by a legal professional for complex cases: regulated activities, subscriptions, marketplaces, sensitive data.

Frequently asked questions

Are these documents mandatory?

A legal notice is required for any business website, and French law (LCEN) sets out what it must contain. As soon as you collect personal data, you need a privacy policy: Law 09-08 in Morocco, the GDPR in Europe. Terms of sale are essential for selling online, and a cookie policy as soon as you use non-essential cookies.

Can I publish the texts as they are?

They are solid starting points, but templates: review each section, fill in the items in square brackets and remove what does not apply to you. For a regulated activity, subscriptions, a marketplace or sensitive data such as health data, have them checked by a lawyer.

Do I need to declare my website to the CNDP in Morocco?

Law 09-08 requires most processing of personal data to be declared to the CNDP beforehand, and some processing to be authorised, for example for sensitive data. The forms are available on the CNDP website; then enter the number you receive in the generator.

I sell abroad: which country should I choose?

Choose the country where your business is established. If you sell to consumers in other countries, especially in the European Union, their mandatory rules may also apply, such as the 14-day right of withdrawal or the GDPR: adapt the documents accordingly.

In which language should I publish my documents?

In your customers' language. Each document can be created in French, English or Arabic, whatever the language of this page. If your website exists in several languages, publish one version per language.

Is my information sent anywhere?

No. The documents are created in your browser and nothing is sent to our servers. Your answers are kept on this device so you can pick up where you left off; the Clear everything button deletes them.
