🧩 Structured data generator (JSON-LD schema.org)

Create the JSON-LD code for your business, article, product, event, job posting, recipe, breadcrumb or FAQ, with the fields Google requires, live validation and code ready to paste. You can also check existing JSON-LD.

1. What does your page describe?

2. The information

3. Check and code

Test in Google's tool Validate on schema.org

Paste this code in the head or body of the page concerned. The information must match what visitors see on the page.

Check or edit existing JSON-LD

Paste a JSON-LD block (with or without the script tag): the tool checks the syntax, recognises the type and fills in the form so you can fix it.

What is structured data for in 2026?

Structured data describes a page's content in a format machines understand without ambiguity: who the business is, what the product costs, when the event takes place. Google uses it for some rich results (stars, prices, breadcrumbs, job postings, events, recipes), and AI answer engines and search tools use it to understand and correctly cite a page.

Let's be honest about the limits: valid structured data never guarantees a rich display. Google has retired several rich results: HowTo results are no longer shown, and FAQ rich results were removed for all sites in May 2026. FAQPage markup remains valid and useful to describe the page, but it no longer produces any special display in Google.

Golden rule: only mark up what is visible on the page, without exaggeration. Reviews a business publishes about itself are not eligible for stars, and misleading data can lead to a manual action by Google.

Frequently asked questions

JSON-LD, microdata or RDFa: which one?

Google accepts all three but recommends JSON-LD: a block of code separate from the HTML, easier to add and maintain, which the tool generates directly.

Why don't my review stars appear?

Stars are reserved for certain types (product, recipe, book, software…) and for reviews from real customers. Reviews a business publishes about itself with Organization or LocalBusiness are not eligible, and Google remains free to show nothing.

Should I still mark up FAQs?

The FAQ rich result has not existed in Google since May 2026. The markup remains valid schema.org that helps structure the page, but only add it if the questions and answers are really visible.

Where do I put the code and how do I test it?

In the head or body of the page it describes, not on the whole site (except the organisation, on the home or About page). Then test the published URL with Google's Rich Results Test and watch the Search Console reports.
