Diagnosis and recommendations
How it works: the formulas
- Confirmed orders = received orders × confirmation rate. Every confirmed order is shipped.
- Delivered orders = shipped orders × delivery rate. Returned orders = shipped − delivered.
- Revenue collected = delivered orders × selling price. Only delivered orders bring in money.
- Costs = delivered products + unsellable returned products + packaging of each shipped parcel + delivery of delivered parcels + return fees of refused parcels + cash collection fees + confirmation of each received order + advertising + fixed costs.
- Net profit = revenue collected − total costs. Real margin = net profit ÷ revenue collected.
- Maximum ad cost per received order = (net profit + ad spend) ÷ received orders. Per delivered order, divide by delivered orders instead.
- Minimum delivery rate: the rate at which profit falls to zero. Each parcel delivered instead of returned brings in the price (minus cash collection fees), costs the product and the delivery, and avoids the return fee.
- Minimum selling price = costs that do not depend on the price ÷ (delivered orders × (1 − cash collection fee)).

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between confirmation rate and delivery rate?
The confirmation rate is the share of received orders you confirm with the customer before shipping. The delivery rate is the share of shipped parcels the customer accepts and pays for. The two multiply: with 70% confirmation and 65% delivery, about 45 orders out of 100 are actually paid.
Why is the cost per order shown by the ad platform misleading with cash on delivery?
The ad platform counts received orders, not paid orders. If only one received order in two is delivered, your real ad cost per sale is twice the one displayed. This calculator brings advertising back to the orders actually delivered.
Should I count the product cost for returned orders?
A returned product usually goes back into stock and can be resold, so it is only counted for delivered orders. Some may come back damaged or incomplete, though: enter that share in “Unsellable returns” so it is counted as a loss.
How can I improve my delivery rate?
Confirm quickly after the order, check the address and location, remind the customer of the total price and the delivery time, send the tracking and warn the customer before the courier comes. Above all, sell a product that matches its photos and description, at a fair price: that is what prevents the most refusals.
Does this calculator work outside Morocco?
Yes. It works for every country and every currency: Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, the Gulf countries, West Africa, Europe or elsewhere. Choose your currency and enter your own fees and rates.
Are my figures saved anywhere?
No, nothing is sent to a server. The values you enter are only kept in your browser, so you find them again on your next visit.
